To drive strategic alliances, collaborations, multidisciplinary research and development and their applications in the global community.
ITPR will promote and facilitate the HKBU’s technology translation in the following directions:
- Identify existing and potential research projects of high impact and potential for translation and application;
- Evaluate progress and discuss directions with researchers who are interested in taking further steps towards translation;
- Promote business development for HKBU and showcase its research capabilities worldwide through various channels, such as online platforms, conferences, exhibitions, networking and partnership meetings, and technology exchange workshops;
- Build strategic alliances and collaboration platforms to engage relevant stakeholders, establish multidisciplinary network, and solicit domain expertise and support;
- Identify funding opportunities locally, nationally and internationally, and seek support and sponsorship from the industry, Government, and other stakeholders;
- Optimize research infrastructure for translation;
- Provide all other forms of necessary support to facilitate research, development, all the way through technology demonstration, commercialization, entrepreneurship, and / or other forms of knowledge transfer.
