HKBU participated in the first ever InnoEx organised by the Hong Kong Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 12 to 15 Apr 2023. The event showcased next-generation smart solutions and cutting-edge technologies, bringing together influential tech experts, entrepreneurs, thought leaders and investors from the region and beyond.

The University exhibited two start-up innovations at the event. They are fruit quality detection technology from Crimson Vision and lip password technology from IntelligenceX. We were honored to receive Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry Prof. Sun Dong at our booth on the first day of the event, where we introduced to him how our smart solutions can promote social and economic development.

In addition, our Prof. Zhang Shiping shared his innovation “EC Bot”, an interactive, evidence-based tele-healthcare platform, with fellow exhibitors and attendees. The platform aims to bridge patients and Chinese medicine practitioners using mobile technologies, enabling the elderly to manage their health conditions with the help of Chinese medicine in a handy and interactive manner.
