HKBU representatives attend 2023 BIO International Convention

Hong Kong Baptist University is committed to driving high-impact innovations, research and development, technology translations and applications to respond to emerging global challenges and opportunities.

Institute for Innovation, Translation and Policy Research (ITPR) joined the BIO International Convention in Boston from 5 to 8 June 2023 to connect with brilliant minds from around the world and explore potential collaborations. Led by HKBU Interim Chief Innovation Officer Prof. Terence Lau, our team members included ITPR Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Mr Tobby Fu, ITPR Director of Technology Translation Dr Ken Yeung, ITPR Assistant Director (Strategic Alliance and Promotion) Ms Nelly Lam, and Director of Golden Meditech Centre for NeuroRegeneration Sciences Prof. Ken Yung.

During the event, we immersed ourselves in the latest biotech advancements, from cutting-edge solutions to bio-entrepreneurship, industry best practices, and the biotech ecosystem. We also connected with industry leaders from leading biotechnology and pharma organisations via the BIO networking programme, introducing HKBU’s innovations, opening doors to potential collaborations and partnerships.

Participation in the BIO International Convention was rewarding. We look forward to leveraging the valuable insights and connections we gained from the event to drive the University’s mission further.
