ITPR hosts sharing session on “Navigating to Success: ITSP Funding Application”

The Institute for Innovation, Translation and Policy Research (ITPR) organised a sharing session on 14 January 2025, titled “Navigating to Success: ITSP Funding Application” This session aimed to introduce the Innovation and Technology Support Programme (ITSP) funding schemes and offer valuable insights and guidance to help participants make their applications stand out.

During the session, Dr Ken Yeung, Director of Technology Translation of ITPR, introduced various types of ITF programmes and addressed potential challenges. He emphasised the importance of cultivating relationship with industry and securing their support for funding applications, which significantly enhances the chances of being selected for funding.

Dr Yeung also highlighted ITPR’s infrastructures for HKBU’s translational research, including the Wu Jieh Yee Institute of Translational Chinese Medicine Research and the HKBU Art Tech Incubation Hub, along with consultation services for investor liaison and funding applications.

Professor Terence Lau, Interim Chief Innovation Officer of HKBU, shared hands-on experiences and essential tips for crafting effective funding applications. His insights helped researchers navigate the complexities of the application process.
