HKBU has participated in the Asia Summit on Global Health (ASGH) 2023, where we showcased our innovative life science solutions from our 10 startups and research teams to healthcare professionals and industry players.
During the event, our scholars shared their expertise on the development of Chinese medicine and mental health. Professor Bian Zhaoxiang, Associate Vice-President (Chinese Medicine Development) and Director of Centre for Chinese Herbal Medicine Drug Development Limited, led a discussion on integrated Chinese-Western medicine development, joined by Professor Lyu Aiping, Dean and Chair Professor of School of Chinese Medicine. Dr Ada Fung, Associate Professor of the Department of Sport, Physical Education, and Health, shared her research on dementia and insights on mental healthcare.
HKBU startup, Booguu Company Limited, was selected as the Best-performing start-up in the ASGH Project Pitching Session "AI & Digital Health," recognising their potential to translate and commercialise and thus to make an impact on healthcare. This recognition reflects the company's dedication and innovation in advancing healthcare technology.
